Q: What is your training schedule like for your debut fight?

A: I train with my team about 6 days a week. I have one rest day. Usually my days consist of 2 sessions, some kind of cardio (like a run), or strength and conditioning with Coach Gabe, and a different kind of session at night.

Q: What made you decide you wanted to be a fighter?

A: I started Martial Arts when I was about 11 or 12, and right when I started to do sparring, I really like that aspect of hitting mitts, and punching people. That was way cooler then doing forms and doing weapons. I always wanted to learn how to fight so I did kickboxing, but my main goal was always MMA. So once I joined 10th Planet Van Nuys, that was my goal right off the bat.

Q: What is your favorite technique and Why?

A: I love hitting the hadouken in sparring and I got a mean left hook.

Q: Why did you start training at 10th Planet Van Nuys?

A: I was looking for MMA gyms after I left my last gym. I listen to Joe Rogan’s Podcast and he was talking about 10th Planet Van Nuys, and how Alder is a good Coach, and he trained Dan Hardy. He also mention how theres a great amateur program and a pro program. So I needed to check it out for myself, I liked it, and I signed up and stayed.

Q: Every fighter has a story, what is yours?

A: I used to be a fat kid, a round fellow, I was about 260 lbs. I lost weight at 15-16ish, I knew it was in my sophomore year in high school when I lost all the weight. It took me about 6 months to drop about 100 lbs.  Then from there I started lifting to get into better shape.

Q: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now in your MMA career?

A: Right now I’m doing my amateur fight. I want to go pro depending how everything goes with in 2-3 years. So maybe at that point I would be making my pro debut or be in a major organization and I’d be a couple fights in.
